Affectionately regarded as the last of the ‘Glasgow Girls’ – a group of women artists and designers active from the turn of the 20th century – Mary Armour (1902-2000) was one of the most noted pioneering female artists of her generation, known mainly for her flowers and landscapes in oil, using a rich palette.

Also showing at the Gallery is an annual favourite, Postcards 2024, featuring over 180 small paintings, mostly measuring 20x20cm and presented mounted, but unframed – an ideal opportunity to start a new collection or add to an existing one.
