Now an established part of the city’s cultural landscape, the fifth Glasgow Cathedral Festival will take place 30th September – 3rd October, with a line-up showcasing the best of Scottish artistic talent, such as guitarist Sean Shibe, the Edinburgh Quartet with clarinettist Ross Montgomery, and mezzo-soprano Andrea Baker. The Festival is also hosting a variety of late-night events: a screening of the 1925 film Phantom of the Opera with live musical accompaniment, an album preview from saxophonist Lewis Banks, and new music in the vaulted crypt from Explore Ensemble. Admission is free and unticketed.
