Online and welcoming email and website enquiries, Gallery Q Dundee is hosting a new mixed online exhibition with featured artist Erraid Gaskell. A 2020 graduate of Dundee’s Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, Perth-born Erraid is an abstract-expressionist painter, having lived in Bangladesh and Australia, and travelled extensively. Her experiences of different cities and cultures inform her work, exploring intense experience, dreaming, and a sense of place, notions of home and journeying, and folklore – evident in her colour, texture and imagery.
Showing alongside her work, the Gallery welcomes back George Gilbert, and there is new work from Margaret Evans, Liz Myhill, Gillian Westland, Elizabeth Haines and Kate Henderson, plus gallery regulars Morag Muir and Helga Chart.
The gallery has introduced the free Art Visualiser app which enables the viewer to try an artwork virtually in their home setting. Free delivery to UK addresses is available, and the Gallery supports the Own Art hire purchase scheme.
