Amaranthine – The Everlasting at Edinburgh’s Dundas Street Gallery features a selection of paintings by Edinburgh artist Vibha Pankaj, whose work reflects feelings, memories and landscapes both real and imagined. Born in India, she grew up with the mighty Himalayas as a backdrop, listening to her grandmother’s stories about the birth of the river Ganges from heaven and the everlasting benevolence of nature and enjoying childhood holidays to tempestuous rivers, waterfalls and dense jungles.
Having lived in Scotland for over 20 years now, her two worlds come together in meditative paintings using colour and texture to create an interplay of land, water and light.
