The Nomads Tent in Edinburgh is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. A veritable warehouse of kilims, rugs, furniture, wall hangings, textiles, ceramics, jewellery and other tribal and village crafts sourced direct from Asia and North Africa, its hand-woven vintage and contemporary tribal rugs mix ancient inherited patterns with abstract modernist designs, driven by the creativity of the weaver and inspired by the mountainous landscapes in which they were created.

There are also regular exhibitions, music recitals, dance performances, talks and readings, and following a one-day closure for clearing-out on Thursday 27th April, Nomads’ shop will reopen on Friday 28th at 10am for a special long-weekend Spring Clearance Sale, ending Sunday 30th.
