Collective in Edinburgh is presenting Acts of Observation, a group show of film, interactive installation, writing and architectural interventions by artists and writers Ana García Jácome, Jeda Pearl Lewis, Abi Palmer and Simon Yuill, spanning its entire site and online. The works directly challenge how we negotiate institutional language and spaces, and how disability is represented, ranging from Abi’s absurdist installation where poetic diagnoses are delivered by the spirit of Elvis reimagined as a medical practitioner, to Ana’s film work It’s Like She Had Never Existed and The [ ] History of Disability in Mexico, via Jeda’s new poetry and Simon’s expansion of text works produced for the artist manifesto Not Going Back to Normal.

The opening, on Saturday 25th September at 2pm, will include live poetry reading by Jeda. Admission is free and ticketed.
