New Edinburgh art space Graystone Gallery in Leith is hosting its latest exhibition, From Shadow to Light, featuring abstract and semi-abstract works by Scottish artists Tommy Fitchet, Madeleine Gardiner, Mary McDonald, and Kerry Souter. Their work collectively captures, in a variety of Scottish landscapes, the way light alters the terrain as the seasons pass.

Tommy Fitchet is an Edinburgh gallerist and painter known for his fluid expressive art reflecting the changing light on the on Scottish landscape, while Kerry Souter creates expressive and atmospheric abstract paintings in acrylic and mixed media, reflecting her love of the textures and colours in her surrounding environment. Edinburgh-born painter Madeleine Gardiner captures the memory of wild spaces, looming skies and the elements altered by light in her landscapes, and Mary McDonald paints expressive, abstract landscapes celebrating life, colour and energy.
