In its final studio exhibition of the year, Sarah Knox: Lost Worlds at Dawyck Botanic Garden shows the venue is ideal for the artist’s paintings, which were inspired by her neighbours’ gardens and weekly sketching visits to the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh and Malleny Garden in Balerno. The works signal a departure from Sarah’s expansive paintings of wild Scottish seas, landscapes and skies and reflect her restricted boundaries during lockdown.
