Edinburgh’s Torrance Gallery is showing an exhibition of the work of Lynn Rodgie. Glasgow-born Lynn studied at Gray’s School of Art: her early career as a graphic artist and illustrator led her towards fine art painting, which she now does from her base in St Boswells in the Scottish Borders. Deriving inspiration from this area’s rolling scenery and among other things from Edinburgh’s cosmopolitan life and architectural textures, her vibrant, energetic tones have become a colourful signature-style. Before opening to the public, the exhibition is available to view online to those on the Gallery’s mailing list.
