Eion Stewart Fine Art in Stonehaven is showcasing two Glasgow-born women artists who both specialise in still life. Describing herself as a representational/ romantic artist, Marion Drummond has painted professionally for almost 30 years, focusing on light, mood and presence. She sculpts the paint with her fingers and rags – a method adopted for working quickly on life studies – mixing on the board for speed and spontaneity. Morag Muir studied at Duncan of Jordanston College of Art and Design under eminent artists such as Alberto Morrocco, David McClure and Will McLean. A multiple award-winning artist, her paintings incorporate narratives which develop when objects and characters begin to populate the canvas.
