Jack Morrocco returns to Gullane Art Gallery for his fourth solo show, entitled Concinnity, a term which denotes the coming together of different elements with artistic style. Morrocco is unique in being both a skilled impressionist as well as creating modern works, the latter influenced by one to one tuition that he received from Sir Peter Blake as a graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design. This gave Morrocco a completely new dimension to his painting, creating from a blank canvas and concentrating on design, shape, balance and colour tones. In Concinnity, Morrocco adds to his traditional French scenes new paintings of Rome and Barcelona and sketches from Ibiza. The show also sees the launch of A Picture Book, only the second volume on the artist since the 2010 publication of Jack Morrocco: A Work in Progress, written by Gullane Art Gallery owner Roy McGregor
