Works by over 400 Edinburgh College of Art students are being showcased in a virtual graduate show and a smaller, ticketed exhibition in the ECA Main Building. Previous degree shows have helped to launch the careers of Turner Prize and BAFTA winners. The student portfolios on the digital platform draw on a range of influences and themes, including climate change, the digital world, identity and belonging.
The platform builds on the success of last year’s digital show, which attracted over 100,000 views from over 100 countries. The website showcases over 4,000 works from 35 degree programmes in a wide range of media, including paintings and drawings, architectural plans and models, animations and digital visualisations, musical compositions and performances, film, photography, textiles, jewellery and interior design. There is also a series of supporting events such as a virtual jewellery try-on and a filmed costume show.
