Saltwater Gallery, Brodick, Isle of Arran, is showcasing work by artists from Scotland and beyond who express their passion for wild seas and rugged coastlines in a variety of media. Gallery owner and resident artist Senja Brendon recently received the Glasgow Art Club Award for her charcoal piece February, Sandwood Bay (pictured). A keen surfer, Senja specialises in ocean scenes; she says: ‘I am in love with the sea. It revitalises and refreshes me. It calms me in times of stress. I feel exhilarated and connected to it when I surf its waves and I never tire of its myriad colours and changing moods.’
