Edinburgh’s Dovecot Studios has introduced its #DrawingatDovecot programme, inviting everybody to draw, doodle, and create their own works of art, inspired by the surroundings of its Infirmary Street premises. Free, pre-booked access to Dovecot’s Tapestry Studio Viewing Balcony places the artist in one of Edinburgh’s most interesting galleries, and the Tapestry Studio and the industry of its weavers provide great subject-matter for creative moments, in a bright and safe environment. Introduced during the Scottish schools’ autumn mid-term break, the programme incorporates all the safety measures one would expect, including sanitising stations, distancing markers, and limited ticketing. Seating and clipboards will be provided by the Studios; artists are asked to bring their own drawing equipment.
