Artistic Director David Greig’s barnstorming season at the Lyceum has been rewarded with a flood of nominations for the prestigious Critic’s Awards for Theatre in Scotland (CATS). Five productions from the last year have pulled in 15 different nominations including Best Design, Best Technical Presentation, Best New Play, Best Director and Best Production – giving the Lyceum more nominations than any other theatre company.

The nominated shows are A Number by Caryl Churchill, Wind Resistance by Karine Polwart, The Suppliant Woman by Aeschylus (in a new version by David Greig), Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (in a new version by Antony Neilson) and Dr Stirlingshire’s Discovery, a co-production with Grid Iron, Lung Ha Theatre Company and RZSS Edinburgh Zoo.

Hopes are high for some spectacular announcements at the fifteenth annual CATS event to be hosted at the Festival Theatre on 11 June 2017.
