The iconic Caledonian Hotel at the West End of Edinburgh’s Princes Street might not spring to mind when you are thinking about entertaining your little young ones in the run-up to Christmas. But now you can enjoy the hotel’s swish Galvin Brasserie de Luxe and at the same time make your children’s day. The youngsters will create festive gingerbread houses while the grown-ups relax in the brasserie with a drink before joining up to sit down for a family lunch.
And as a bonus under-10s eat free from the children’s menu which has been carefully created by chefs (and fathers) Craig Sandle and Fraser Allan. The selections include a simple vine tomato soup and, for the more adventurous, pork rillete with pickles and toast. The brasserie’s Kids’ Club launches on Sunday 8 December.
