Borders-based artist Moy Mackay has developed an innovative coupling of a traditional craft with a fine art application. Working with Merino fleece fibres in the same way that a painter uses brushstrokes, she creates ‘felt paintings’ of great warmth and texture. You can find them at her self-titled gallery in Peebles. Moy has also produced all sorts of merchandise items such as mugs and calendars featuring her work, and has a recently-redesigned website, where all her work is on show and ready to purchase. She is exhibiting at 2022’s Borders Art Fair, 25th – 27th March.
