Roy Burgoyne’s Ceramic Adventures

Roy Burgoyne of Carrick Pottery explores all forms of vessels and ceramic processes, in particular low-fired burnished clay techniques such as Raku, which Bernard Leach, the ‘father of British studio pottery’ introduced from Japan. Roy’s use of Terra Sigillata to create a marble-smooth canvas on which to create texture though fuming and smoking brings endless possibilities.
