178 West Regent Street,

To some, island life may sound remote or isolated from mainstream culture, but for artist Josephine Broekhuizen (and her sculptor husband Tim Pomeroy), it offers the space and tranquillity to create. In uenced by her location on the Isle of Arran, with its array of wildlife, plant life, woodlands and coastlines, Josephine’s work exudes a fundamental calmness. Josephine Broekhuizen: Seeing Things Grow at the Compass Gallery features new paintings, drawings and prints inspired by her garden, where she grows exotic succulents, strongly sculptural and patterned, which appear regularly in her work.
