In celebration of Scotland becoming a Fair Trade Nation in February, there’s a big party in Perth on 7 September. The Fair Trade Festival – at the Station Hotel – will have lots of Fair Trade food, and handmade crafts as well as performances, entertainers, guest speakers and kids’ activities. Scotland is only the second Fair Trade Nation in the world, following in the footstesp of Wales.
Also conming up is Scottish Food and Drink Fortnight, with lots of events between 4 and 19 September. A Scottish Food Marquee will be at Largs Viking Festival (1-5 Sep), there’s Whisky Live at the Thistle Ballroom Glasgow (11 Sep), ScotFest at Alva (18 srp) and food festivals at Loch Lomond Shores, Balloch (18-19 Sep) in Moray (6-19 Sep), Linlithgow (4-19 Sep), Huntly (4-5 Sep) and Dundee (3-5 Sep).
