Stories: Whispers from the Past and the Present at WASPS Creative Academy in Inverness until 29th October. is a joint exhibition by members of the Scottish Glass Society, the Contemporary Glass Society and the Glass Society of Ireland’s Keep Well Glass Quilt Project. The Contemporary Glass Society is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2022, which is also the UN-designated International Year of Glass. Contemporary glass art is created with a variety of techniques, including elaborate stained glass panels, glass casting, glass fusing and even knitted glass, and encompasses magical colours, textures and use of light. Included in the exhibition is the Glass Society of Ireland’s A Breath of Fresh Air – The Keep Well Glass Quilt Project, a single collaborative piece which incorporates 50 different artists’ work.
