Based in Yorkshire, and dividing her time between there, Skye and Edinburgh, artist Caroline Riley creates beautifully-executed drawings and paintings of landscapes and wildlife. Before taking-up art, Caroline was a textile designer, based in London. She now incorporates triptychs into her practice, which can be hung together or separately.

The works in this exhibition are mostly Scottish, with some Yorkshire-inspired. Some views Caroline paints multiple times, such as Ben Tianavag, a ‘very small, but quirky’ mountain on the Isle of Skye. An earlier exhibition included three-dozen views of it, also on Skye, inspired by Hokusai’s depictions of Mount Fuji.
