Cara McKinnon Crawford: One Loch, One River, Journey of the Shiel at Resipole Studios Fine Art Gallery at Acharacle, Argyll documents the Scottish colourist’s personal journey along the River Shiel, from the top of Loch Shiel at Glenfinnan to the head of the river at Acharacle, where it begins to wind its way towards the sea. Having been drawn to Ardnamurchan as a source of inspiration for thirty years, it is the Shiel which has most captured her imagination and to which she has returned time and time again. She has travelled along the course of the river on foot, by kayak and even by plane, each time with sketchbook or canvas in hand, working in all weather conditions and throughout the changing seasons.
