Cample Line is an independent arts organisation in the south-west of Scotland, dedicated to presenting thought-provoking international contemporary art and film. Their exhibition of the work of American artist Helen Mirra, Acts for placing woollen and linen, is an unusual project. Opening with Standard Incomparable, an installation of international scope work together in 2015 by Mirra and first shown at the Armory Center for the Arts in Pasadena, California in 2016, it comprises weavings from 16 countries, on display for nine weeks before it becomes the material for a new work by Mirra – Acts for placing woollen and linen (2020) – which will take place over the last three weeks of the exhibition.
