Browns Bar & Brasserie in Edinburgh’s George Street

Browns birthday bash

Lavish celebrations last month at Browns Bar & Brasserie in Edinburgh’s George Street.

The Browns business was founded 40 years ago in Brighton, but the Capital’s branch is a good few years younger and is looking very smart after a major facelift. Front of house, the plush, Belle Epoch-styled brasserie and cocktail bar is elegant and perfect for a celebrating your own special day.

General manager Tony Craig is proud of the fact that this facelift is not just skin deep with even more effort lavished on new kitchens. As head chef Fraser Lewis commented: “A new kitchen is Christmas come early for a chef. We couldn’t ask for anything more really. So many so-called refurbishments are all about front of house, but this is a sweeping improvement, right through the business.”
