The 27-year-old founder of a Forres brewery has been named the North of Scotland’s top young entrepreneur. Seb Jones has been making beer since he was 13 and set up his Speyside Craft Brewery in 2012 making beers with the same water that produces some of Scotland’s best-known whiskies.
He picked up his title at the regional finals of the 2013 Prince’s Trust Youth Business Scotland Young Entrepreneur Awards. With a range of three cask bottled beers and a fourth one about to be launched, business is flourishing and Seb says he is confident that production and turnover will double by the year end.
As well as supplying businesses in Inverness and Morayshire, the brewery is making headway in the Central Belt and English markets.
