The works in A Passion for Colour: The Retrospective Continued at the Maclaurin Art Gallery in Ayr span the entire career of John Lowrie Morrison, better known as Jolomo, from his school days, when it was always his ambition to be a painter, through his time at the Glasgow School of Art to the present day. Jolomo’s boldly colourful paintings of Scotland are held in many collections around the world and have been reproduced on best-selling cards, calendars and prints.
