Edinburgh artist Claudia Petretti is set to host a one-person showcase of her human figure works, in the setting of a beautiful Victorian drawing room in the city’s West End.

Claudia says, ‘My work explores the subtleties of the human figure and particularly the portrait and its possibilities for expression. Using layers of media, including pencil, charcoal, pastels and watercolour, I am especially interested in the subtle language of the body and face—gesture, posture, and expression—as a way of revealing inner emotional landscapes and mood.’
