Belfast photography gallery Belfast Exposed opened its premises last month and is delivering many of its services including photography courses and projects in the community – it will reopen its gallery space in September, with its forthcoming exhibition, talks and discussion programme refocusing on emerging and local artists:
Human Condition and Anthropology (BA & MFA Photography degree shows in association with Ulster University) Opening: Thu 3rd Sep, 6pm-9pm, until 24th Oct. A virtual exhibition of the BA & MFA degree show can be viewed online.
Call-out for participants: Picture This closes Fri 7th Aug, a creative and fun photography project for teenagers and young adults, with an interest in photography and desire to learn. No photography experience needed.
Belfast Exposed‘s 2020 Futures Artists programme: this year’s six successful applicants to the Futures Artists programme are David Copeland, Samantha Johnston, Milo Lethorn, Manon Ouimet, Graeme McCormick and Ioanna Sakellaraki. The career-development programme has now started, where emerging artists receive funding, professional mentoring, a solo exhibition, and inclusion in a publication.
