A charity raising funds for placing modern and contemporary art into health and social care settings in Scotland has launched a crowdfunding campaign. Art in Healthcare‘s Winter Crowdfunder helps to make health and social care environments more friendly, welcoming and stimulating – which has been proven to help patients not only to feel more calm and relaxed, but less defined by illness, while helping staff to feel valued and visitors to feel comforted. A special feature of the campaign is that, as part of its Rewards scheme, a series of limited-edition cards and prints by eminent artists is on offer as a thank-you; these are by Martha Cole, John C Brown (whose work is pictured), Ian McKenzie Smith, Ann Oram and Kate Downie.

The support from the campaign will help the charity frame some new additions to the collection and reframe some older works – essential in continuing to make its full collection available to health and social care settings in Scotland.
