Baird Institute, Cumnock, Ayrshire: Castles in a Landscape

Baird Institute Dean Collection

Note: from Wed 18th March, all East Ayrshire Leisure activities, events and clubs will be cancelled until further notice.

Until 16th May

Even now as ruins, Scottish castles tell the story of our nation’s turbulent past. First opened in 1891, the Baird Institute in Cumnock, Ayrshire, is hosting an exhibition looking at castles, many of which have been a point of interest for artists depicting the country’s dramatic landscapes. Includes paintings from East Ayrshire Council’s collection, along with arms, armour and early musical instruments from the Dean Castle collections.
