In its first year of operation, Atelier Gallery in Edinburgh’s New Town has become home for many artworks from emerging and established artists, some of whom have not shown previously in Edinburgh.

Inspired by her travels within Scotland and France, Linda Park works in oils using broad brushes and palette knives, creating highly sculptural landscape pieces which depicting the land being literally ‘carved by the elements’ whether it be by wind, rain, sea or ice. This creates an almost 3D effect through the use of controlled impasto techniques and to draw the viewer into the landscape where they can be transported to a world of colour, energy and drama whilst still evoking a feeling of calm and warmth.
