Over the past three decades, Art In Healthcare has established a vast collection of artworks, including painting, drawing, printmaking and photography, and placed in healthcare settings across Scotland, forming a unique collection. The organisation has purchased, gifted or loaned directly from artists at various points of their careers, or their families and friends, and it has commissioned work, too – offering opportunities for artists to create new pieces for healthcare settings, with each work contributing to helping people feel better.

The exhibition Art in Healthcare: Stories of the Collection aims to tell the stories behind each piece, discussing the journey that led to its becoming part of the collection – and its impact on people who have experienced it.

A review of an exhibition in honour of Matilda Hall, one of the founders of Art in Healthcare, can be found here.
