There is a double-header coming up at Art & Craft Collective in Edinburgh: Kathryn George: An American Photographer in Edinburgh and Wild Wood: A Sculptural Exploration of the Wildlife and Trees of Scotland, featuring wood artist Emily Lewis, whose work is pictured, who says, ‘I love nothing better than to hand-craft beautiful, sustainable Scottish timber into artwork that conveys Scotland’s natural world. I use a variety of techniques to gradually shape my ideas into life and I am particularly passionate about highlighting lesser known or misunderstood wildlife. But I also enjoy creating pieces that celebrate iconic species that have become entwined into the Scottish identity.’

The Collective is celebrating its fifth birthday in September, it is having a party on on Friday 9th September from 4 pm, welcoming local Member of Parliament Ian Murray as guest of honour. Prosecco and cake are promised.
