The Rafiki Gallery, in collaboration with Brushes With Greatness, is presenting a fund-raising art sale in aid of the Red Cross in Ukraine. The collection is available to view and purchase via a catalogue showing the artwork, which has been donated by a variety of emerging and established artists, all under £500, with the entire proceeds of the sale to be donated to the Red Cross in order to support their efforts in Ukraine. Leo Sartain from the Rafiki Gallery says, ‘It is a fantastic opportunity to own some original art from exciting artists early in their careers, while also supporting an important cause.’
Founded in 2019, The Rafiki creates and transforms spaces across Edinburgh for artists and creatives, hosting events and exhibitions, seeking to support artists in realising their potential through strengthening and developing their individual practices. Brushes with Greatness, established in 2021 by fine art fanatic Jack Trodd, is a gallery and visual artist agency, with similar aims, to support multidisciplinary artists and their practices with public exhibitions and projects, forging creative connections between artists, collectors, enthusiasts, businesses, and charities alike.
