St Columba’s Hospice Care in Edinburgh is gearing up for its Annual Art Exhibition, for which over 40 established and emerging talents have pledged paintings, sculptures and prints for sale to raise funds to provide palliative care for people with incurable illnesses and support for their families. Exhibitors include landscape painters David Hay, Clare Arbuthnott and Janette Sumner, figurative artist Catriona Millar and painter and printmaker Tim Cockburn, who is well-known for his depictions of Scottish country dance.

The popular Art on a Postcard returns, offering the chance to snap up a mini-artwork for £50, with the artist remaining anonymous until purchased. There will also be an area dedicated to patient artwork, highlighting the benefits the arts can have for patients and families receiving palliative and hospice care. For anyone unable to attend in person, artworks will be available to view and buy online, 8th – 15th October.
