Edinburgh-born and Glasgow-based, Kirsty Lackie is a painter interested in psychology, having graduated in the subject in 2010, and has turned her attention to the ‘masks’ people wear in different situations, the truths they reveal, the freedoms they can bring, and their power to tell a story. Since studying Communication Design at Glasgow School of Art, she has been ‘finding a mode of articulation and expression for these thoughts and observations’, developing her painting practice and exhibiting work across the UK .
