This May Day Bank Holiday weekend (5th to 7th May), the beautiful village of Ancrum will be welcoming another 3 days full of art and artists and of course visitors.
There will be a wide variety of professional art and design-led work to view and purchase, with 32 artists and makers participating in exhibitions and demonstrations; paintings, illustrations, ceramics, textiles, wood, sculpture, jewellery and more.
Venues range from artists’ studios to the village hall, the church, villagers’ front rooms, garages and gardens, and of course the local pub.
There is also an exhibition of art called “Absent Friends” in The Cross Keys, containing work by artists who are not taking part themselves, but whose work we admire.
This year our chosen charity is the “Border Macmillan Centre: Extension & Refurbishment Project”. Collecting cans will be dotted around for contributions.
Food and drink will be available throughout the weekend, and possibly even some live music (weather permitting).
