Jack Frame’s new solo exhibition is set to be as much of an event as last year’s sell out show. Join Alpha Art for a glass of wine and meet the artist at the preview on Friday 2nd November 2018 from 5.30 to 8pm.
Jack Frame has been “hotly tipped to become one of Scotland’s most collectible artists,” a sentiment one will understand after seeing his work. Born in Kent to Scottish parents, he graduated from Glasgow School of Art with a sell-out degree show, and placed 3rd at the Jolomo Awards for landscape painting soon after his graduation.
Frame’s iconic oil paintings of Cherry Blossoms, among others, hang well in almost any setting, their simplicity belying their complex themes. This body of work is part of his will to document the trees’ life cycle and explore the tension between the representation and exploration of the natural through an artificial medium and environment.
Take the opportunity to speak to Jack at the event about his pieces, their production and their significance to him. Enthusiastic about his work and passionate about his medium, he is more than happy to answer any questions sent his way.
Jack Frame’s original work is in very high demand, so early viewing of this show is strongly recommended.
The full collection will be on display until November 25th 2018.
