Artists are invited to submit their work to an Open Exhibition run by the Scottish Borders-based arts centre Allanbank Arts
Deadline for submissions and the drop off day is Sunday, July 23.
The Allanbank Arts Open Exhibition, now in its fifth year, showcases work in a wide range of media, including paintings, drawings, prints, ceramics and sculpture. It is held at Allanbank Courtyard, an 18th century former coach house near Duns in Berwickshire.
“What makes our annual Open Exhibition special is quality and variety,” said exhibition organisers Gill Walton and Liz Hardy. “We welcome works by local Borders artists and by those from further afield. The exhibition is open to any artist, professional or otherwise, working in painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics or sculpture, and our 2017 show promises to be as successful and interesting as previous years.” This year the event will feature work by the sculptor Jennifer Watt , printmakers Justine Miller and Jenny Findlay and the artist in residence Gill Walton.
The exhibition runs from Friday, August 4 to Monday, August 7.
Around 500 visitors are expected over the 4 days and the commission on sales is 20%.
Artists can exhibit up to two pieces of their work. To apply, please complete the subscription form here
