Devon-based artist Alison McCoy’s exhibition ReCollection is the first exhibition and degree show by the graduate in Painting from the Open College of the Arts. The collection comprises large abstracts in oil inspired by memories of family holidays in the northeast of Scotland and small figurative works depicting toys and sweets familiar to any child growing up in Glasgow in the 1970s. This partially-represented, partially-imagined landscape of time past may trigger viewers’ memories of their own personal histories.
