Aberdeen Performing Arts is the organisation behind the programme for the city’s top three performance venues. Coming up is The Book of Mormon, an outrageous musical comedy involving mismatched pair of missionaries, sent to a place about as far from their Salt Lake City base as you can get (His Majesty’s Theatre, 17th May – 4th June). Nicola Benedetti performs a new violin concerto by Mark Simpson with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra at Aberdeen Music Hall, on 26th May. And at the same venue, the Scottish Ensemble’s Scottish Creations bringing this country’s myths, legends, fable and folklore on 28th May.
