Milton Art Gallery at Milton of Crathes, Banchory, is staging its Winter Exhibition. Mixed exhibitions are always a great overview of the diversity of work by local and national artists and craftmakers, and this one includes ceramic artist Michelle Young-Hares, whose hand-built sculptures playfully explore growth and the potential contained within seedpods and tendrils of plant life; textile artist Mhairi Prince, whose panels are inspired by the mountains, forests, rivers and wildlife around her Highlands home; silversmith jewellery designer Beverley Hutton Moore, who is similarly inspired by nature; painter and collage artist Colin Brown, whose recent works are based on botanical images; and painter / sculptor Fiona Knox, whose animal forms are made from natural flax fibre and recycled materials. New work will be added throughout November and December as pieces are sold, removed, and replaced.
