Fidra Fine Art in Gullane, East Lothian, is hosting a Summer Exhibition featuring a varied collection of some fifty pieces, including work by a number of familiar gallery artists: George Birrell’s depictions of castles, harbours and mills which don’t actually exist, but are created from different memories’ colourful still-lifes by Simon Laurie RSW RGI (whose work is pictured), portraiture by Graeme Wilcox, floral studies by Ann Oram RSW in the rich tradition of the Scottish Colourists, collage work by comedian-turned-artist Phill Jupitus, and distinctive figurative work by ‘new Glasgow boy’ Adrian Wiszniewski.
