Helen de Main & Mandy McIntosh: Repeat Patterns at Glasgow’s Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA) is a new commission from two Glasgow-based artists, bringing their work together for the first time in an institutional context; it explores their interests in feminist histories, care, housing, displacement, class and the demand for equality through forms of printmaking, including works on paper, fabric and sculpture.

Referencing the second-wave feminist argument that ‘the personal is the political’, which asserts that experiences in women’s personal lives are directly linked to the social and political conditions within society, the exhibition contributes to current conversations about the core pillars of the welfare state provisions.
