Different styles and techniques are explored in an exhibition of highly collectable art entitled ‘Connections’ at the Dancing Light Gallery in Whitmuir

‘Facing the World,’ currently on display at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh, exhibits a unique collection of self-portraiture from six centuries of artists.

Showcasing some the finest contemporary art in Scotland, the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts (RGI) 153rd Open Annual Exhibition features over 300 artists and up to 500 original works chosen by a selection panel from submissions from all over Scotland.

The Annual Exhibition of Paintings by the Redcastle Art Group showcases 14 experienced Highland artists who meet every month on the Black Isle to paint together and exchange ideas, with guidance from the popular landscape painter Jonathan Shearer.

Wilhelmina Barns-Graham CBE: Lines and Rhythms – Late Drawings and Prints at the Watermill Gallery in Aberfeldy features work by the St Andrews–born artist who divided her time between Scotland and St Ives, where she contributed greatly to the development of Modernist British art.

Pippa Young’s “A Shifting Uncertainty: Paintings,” currently showing at Edinburgh’s Arusha Gallery, is the second half of Young’s two-part solo exhibition, the first half being “A Shifting Uncertainty: Drawings,” exhibited in October 2015.
